Location: Tillamook State Forest, Coast Range, Oregon
Distance: about 4 miles
Elevation gain: about 300 feet

The Wilson River Trail runs along the Wilson River for over 9 miles. We started at the Tillamook Forestry Center and went to Wilson Falls. There were lots of wildflowers. We saw bleeding hearts, oxalis, fawn lily, hookers fairy bells, trilliums and the sword ferns were everywhere, starting to unfurl. We also saw a lot of sign of elk in the area, some very recently, but we never did see the elk. We really like this area of the Coast Range.
