The coast on a January day is normally not the time to go on a hike. This was an unusually warm and sunny day in the low 60s. The hike starts at Short Sands beach and the trail can be a but muddy. We ran into a large mudpit and a maze of tree fall. At the end of the hike, the waves were crashing against the rock on both sides of the cape. A new favorite for me on the coast.
