Crescent Beach at low tide
Category: Oregon CoastTags: Crescent Beach
After weeks on end of rainy and cloudy weather, at the first sign of warm sunny day, we took off work to head to the coast. We arrived right at a low minus tide, which was the lowest we’ve ever seen at Crescent Beach. On the beach, we could walk almost all the way to Ecola Point on the north side. From the viewpoint on the trail far above the beach, we could see that it was possible to walk between Crescent Beach and Chapman Beach at the narrow gap between the headland and the seastacks. We discovered a small cave with a pass-through at the north end of the beach… it felt eerie to walk through it.
